זהו סיפור התחלתה של הטלוויזיה בישראל כפי שהוא נראה דרך האוריינטציה הטכנית שלי. ההיסטוריה של הטלוויזיה החינוכית הישראלית (מעתה והלאה –  טח”י) מתועדת בדרך כלל מנקודת המבט ההפקתית, אך בהיותי אחד מהטכנאים הראשונים, ברצוני לתת לצוות הטכני את יום הזוהר שלו. אלו הזכרונות שלי מהתקופה ללא שום סדר כרונולוגי כלשהו. הטח”י שידרה לראשונה ב24 במרץ 1966. היא נקראה במקור “נאמנות הטלוויזיה החינוכית” ומאוחר יותר הפכה ל “המרכז לטלוויזיה חינוכית” עד תחילת 1990.

This is the story of television’s start up in Israel as seen through my technically oriented eyes. The history of Israeli Educational Television (IETV) is usually documented from a production perspective, being one of the founding engineers I want to give the engineering staff their day of glory 🙂 These are my random recollections of the time.

The IETV made its first broadcast on24 March 1966. It was originally called the Educational Television Trust and later became the Instructional Television Centre until the early 1990s.
